Workshop: Japanese Stab Book Binding

April 16th, 2009

Japanese Stab Book Binding:

Japanese stab binding is an easy, quick way to make a book. It can be used to bind single sheets of paper into a long-lasting book. It can be done without fancy equipment or much sewing experience. This workshop will be a walk through the easiest yet elegant way to make a Japanese stab bound book. (I’ll also mention some of the more common variations.) You don’t need previous experience.

Location: Arnecliffe Studio

Date and Time: Sunday, April 19, 12-3pm

Mural Club: Cartref

April 7th, 2009

I’ve been remiss in not posting these earlier! I know I’m excited about all these formerly all white austere stretches of walls becoming more interesting. Thanks to the mural club many spaces on campus are becoming colorful and energetic!

here are some photos from the finished murals in Cartref, 3rd floor.

Art Studio Opening Pictures!

April 3rd, 2009

So the alumni magazine of BMC sent a professional photographer to the event and they were nice enough to share all the pictures they got from that photographer (Linda Johnson). Now, I wanted to share the wealth but there are over 100 photos there so I couldn’t exactly post them directly to the blog so instead I made albums on facebook. I am not consistently facebook friends with people so feel free to tag at will (or untag at will if you’re horrified).

They should be public to all and are in 3 albums.
